When I first decided to get my wig done I was very skeptical. Only because I’m not the type of woman who wears wigs however I was amazed at the professional and the conversation I had with her so I decided to allow her to do my wig! She is blessed beyond measures the way she conducts herself and how the quality of the wig was! She was very patient with me and we laughed and joked and she did a damn good job with my hair!! Youknowigs is Sydney’s wig studio in Milwaukee. She builds custom units from the cap up and handles the finishing herself: knots, lace, hairline, color and install.
Local clients come in for installs, color and revamps. Out-of-state clients send their measurements and a reference picture, get photos and video when the unit is done, and have it shipped. And the ones who want to learn it themselves book a seat at her 1-on-1 class.

How to measure
Use a soft tape, in inches. Circumference: around the hairline. Front to back: hairline to nape. Ear to ear: across the top. Nape: across the back of the neck. Not sure? Leave it blank and Sydney will walk you through it.

Do you ship wigs outside Milwaukee?
Yes, shipping is available. Send your measurements and a reference picture, and your unit is shipped once it’s finished.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A deposit is required for custom orders and appointments. The amount is confirmed when Sydney replies with your quote. The 1-on-1 class takes a $250 deposit.
How much is a custom wig?
It depends on length, lace, density and color. The pricing guide on this page comes from a past promotion and is a starting point only. Ask for a current quote by DM or with the order form.
How do I measure my head for a wig?
Four measurements in inches: circumference, front to back, ear to ear and nape. If you’re unsure, Sydney will walk you through it.
Can you fix or restyle a wig I already have?
Wig revamps ($35), wig customization ($30), lace replacement ($60) and coloring ($50+) are all on the service menu. DM a picture of your unit first.
Do you teach wig making?
